Nintendo Announces Upcoming 3D Handheld Device
Nintendo surprised its fans and competitors when it announced that the company is developing a new 3D-capable portable gaming device tentatively named Nintendo 3DS. This likely successor to the very successful DS and DSi will utilize autostereoscopic technology, which provides amazing 3D views without the need for dorky glasses. Niko, the N900-Powered Lego Robot
Robots powered by smartphones are nothing new, but robots powered by Nokia smartphones are a rarity. Make has recently introduced Niko, a robot made from Lego Mindstorm NEXT 2.0 components and uses a Nokia N900 as its brain.
This video shows Niko roving around and taking photos whenever it bumps into objects. It can now also accept commands and post messages and photos on Twitter . Of course, those commands are basic like turning left or right, as well as moving forward and backward.
